In 2019, Honey Bun Limited former CEO Mrs. Michelle Chong launched The Honey Bun Foundation with a bold vision: to strengthen Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within Jamaica’s Creative Industry by giving them the tools, training, and technical support needed to grow sustainably.

Central to this vision was one critical gap—access to structured, timely, and relevant capacity-building opportunities. To scale its impact and reach entrepreneurs nationwide, the Foundation needed a strong digital presence and a system that could connect SMEs to training opportunities in a meaningful, organized way.

The concept of a national training calendar required more than a simple event listing. The Foundation needed a fully integrated, interactive solution that could:

  • Enable real-time engagement and communication

  • Scale as the Foundation’s programmes expanded

Niritech Digital Services delivered a custom web-based Training Calendar platform seamlessly integrated into the Honey Bun Foundation’s website, creating a centralized hub for entrepreneur development. The solution enables secure user registration and personalized access for entrepreneurs, an interactive calendar to view upcoming trainings and workshops, and a smart notification system that instantly alerts entrepreneurs, training providers, and Foundation administrators when interest is expressed—ensuring coordination and follow-through. A powerful administrative dashboard allows Foundation staff to manage users and providers, track engagement, and export reports to inform programme planning, all within a cohesive, user-friendly digital experience aligned with the Foundation’s mission.
